Caring for Holocaust Survivors with Sensitivity at the End of Life

The goal of this course is to explore the unique needs of Holocaust survivors and to discuss best practices in assessment and intervention within the theoretical framework of PTSD as it impacts advanced illness and the end of life. More than 70 years after the end of World War II, Holocaust Survivors represent a population with unique needs and issues poorly understood by healthcare professionals. Clinicians and professional providers, whose mission it is to manage pain and suffering, need to understand these issues so they can provide culturally sensitive care.
